A family run business, mother and daughter Sandy Richards and Kate Watt established Absolute Care at Home Ltd in 2005. Their Vision of a care support service delivering not just a high but excellent standard of care for the elderly and the infirm in their own homes. Our Guiding principles have not changed, putting people first and giving them a care support service that doesn’t just meet their needs but takes into account their wishes and their views on how they want their care to be delivered, is our paramount aim. “To all the carers at Absolute Care at Home who steadfastly come through the mist, rain, snow and ice and make it believable that another day has come. I send my Christmas greetings, my thanks and admiration for their sympathy, skill and dedication. Likewise to those behind the scenes juggling with the rotas and making these things possible. It’s a whole system I never knew existed until I needed it and how I miss my independence, but with a good husband and the carers, life is a lot brighter than it otherwise might have been”- Mrs DV, Knutsford “To all the carers at Absolute Care at Home who steadfastly come through the mist, rain, snow and ice and make it believable that another day has come. A massive thanks to the girls who came to help look after my dad after his discharge from hospital up to the day he passed away. They were kind and caring at every visit. They never rushed or were eager to get out of the door. They always were happy to listen to our worries and to offer words of kindness and advice. There is no way we would have been able to grant my dad's final wish, to die at home, without them. You were amazing! Thank-you. We will never forget what you did for us. ❤❤

Until very recently, Absolute Care provided carers for my parents who were no longer able to look after themselves properly. Living in London, it was hard for me to keep up with the practicalities of caring for them day to day, but I was able to put my complete trust in the team who went in to see my mum and dad, and I knew that they were being looked after in a kind and thoughtful way, despite the time constraints which are unavoidable in this situation. My mother's dementia meant that she could be quite challenging, but the carers were always patient with her, and took the initiative when, for instance, it was necessary to call paramedics. My dad's disabilities confined him to his room, unable to do anything for himself, but the carers looked after him with gentleness and good humour, respecting his dignity and individuality. Now that both of my parents are in care homes, I am very happy to be able to say how grateful my brother and I both are for how well the whole Absolute Care team looked after them. We want to say thank you to the carers who came to our parents' home, and for the kind and non-judgemental support we received whenever we spoke to the people in the office.

We were promised a team of 3 or 4 carers who would come at a particular time daily and get to know mum. And she wanted to get to know them. After the 12 th different person in 3 weeks she gave up trying to learn their names and they had no idea of her personality or needs. They turned up at all times of day. Complaints led to no improvement. Still trying to get our deposit back. Not impressed.

Absolute Care are caring for my mum since being discharged from hospital. Not remotely impressed. Come when they're not needed. Can't even put a bath lift in place. Management not very good

Care staff are fantastic but are let down by the management who don't seem to care when you contact them in an emergency unscheduled call or if staff are late. They don't call you back to let you know what is happening and have been known to leave clients lieing in excrement.
