My sister was in here for several months, and after reading their last review i totally agree with everything in it. My sister died in this home after being neglected, and left without being washed, food left on the side, dressings left on the side, bed soaking, cather bag full to the brim. the smell that something had gone off was strong. the heat in the bedroom was astonishing. and bottles left on the banister rails. however i would like to thank sammy from the nursing unit who went above and beyond for my sister, despite not having assistance from her fellow staff. Otherwise, please think seriously about putting your loved ones in here.

Worked here for the basis of 5 months, the worst company I have ever worked for the management is absolutely shocking let alone the way they treat residents would not recommend for anyone loved ones or job wise it’s basically a death trap warmed up,rats that was ran over in the front garden and never removed and residents being put to bed at 1 o’clock never seen anything like it constant opinions on everything with residents to staff for ridiculous reasons

My wife’s aunt is currently at acorn lodge where she has been for the past year or so the staff are very caring They always keep us informed. She has put weight on since moving into the home and particularly enjoys the activities As a family we would recommend this home

Appealing care., rude staff do nit consider this place for your loved one. I’ve never known such incompetency. My dad who is immobile and has speech problems was left for hours on end, not washed in three days Si his nails were black and he smelled. When trying to tell the Carer something (I use the term lorsely as they do nit care) she shouted at him. He’s supposed to have hourly visits and hasn’t had, the place absolutely stinks and lacks general standards of hygiene and despite me finding an alternative nursing home it has taken me 7 hours and endless phone calls today to no avail.... quite simply put the home should not be responsible for caring for the most vulnerable elderly people. Inadequate care bordering on abuse/neglect if you’re considering this place take it off your list. It’s truly shocking I would be giving it zero stars if I could. Absolutely heartbreaking to see the stands of care. I’ll be making an official and lengthy complete to the care quality commission.... would trust there prior to take my dog for a walk never mind care fur by dad.
