Jade Rose5 Starwonderful experience, the timing was a little slow but an excellent job fixing my laptopSunday 21st February 2021
Jim French1 StarHad my machine for 8 months now I cannot contact at all. Just want my daughters computer back with photos and videos..ps I believe the review below is fake cause ay the beginning of the saga of trying to receive my laptop back (still not happenned) I hot an email from a jade saying she was new managing director and promised the work done and laptop back in 2 weeks. This was in December and last contact I've had. Also went to the address and no answer. I know it's a pandemic and difficult for all (this is there excuse) but that doesnt not involve the complete lack of any sort of contact.
Need to get advice on where to go next?Sunday 9th May 2021
Chris Owen1 StarWARNING! AVOID. IT’S A SCAM.
I initially contacted in April 2020 regarding getting a ram upgrade for a Mac mini (2018 - non user-upgradable ram). I left a voicemail and James got in contact a few days later saying yes all good etc - we’re Apple authorised and send your serial number for your Mac.
Weeks passed, “I will update you as soon as possible”. Fair enough I thought – Covid and what I needed doing isn’t urgent. Months passed and in September with a bit of chasing I got an invoice and paid for the ram upgrade. I was told same day turnaround. From looking at videos on how to do the upgrade it’s a relatively quick job if you’ve the right tools etc.
I turned up at the Altrincham address on 29th September, as arranged, and no-one was there. I called the “support” lines several times and later in day I got a text saying – “Can you drop it tomorrow.. extremely busy”.
I’d lost faith at this stage, and this prompted a bit of digging about (see below). So I requested a refund and was told was "No problem".
3 weeks have gone past now and no refund. About 2 weeks ago I was told it WAS sent and now I’m getting excuses as for why it HASN’T been sent. I'm going to take further action. I suppose, at least, I didn’t hand my Mac over.
Searching the contact numbers in Google brings up sites for an Electrician, Builder, Website Design, 11+ Support and this. The voicemail for the numbers just say “Support” so I guess they get people to pay for work under those "businesses" with no intention of doing it. And if you look more closely at the 5* reviews they all look suspicious.
Please don't fall for this con!
15/12/20 - As the response from owner is deceitful, containing prevarication - please see attached screenshots of the text exchange.
To be clear - I did not contact my bank until the end of this chasing - so the delay in getting the refund was not due to me contacting my bank.
I happily support many local businesses. I do however wish to stop scammers and hope this review prevents people from having the same experience as I've had.Tuesday 15th December 2020
Terrence Derbyshire5 StarMy laptop was being painfully slow and was so hot you could cook a fry up on it. Took it to James who was recommended to me by a friend and now it's as good as new. 5*Wednesday 8th January 2020
Rich Kenyon1 StarCannot be bothered to deal with enquiries professionally, so do you really want to leave your computer with them? How exactly do you expect to contact themwhen you need it back? Avoid.Sunday 14th June 2020
