Terrible place my 81 year mum in for rehabilitation after surgery left in her room to watch telly she is so depressed some of the staff r helpful not bin eating she not had shower since her surgery 5 weeks. 4 weeks in wigan infirmary then after 6 days in home at last had shower wouldn't recommend anybody referred to this home

My dad was in here in 2016. He was 92 years old he went in to recover from hospital,he was in a matter of days ,and was administered the wrong medication,and his blood pressure dropped dramatically,they denied it ,one of the staff told me .he waited 9hrs for and ambulance to take him back to hospital.and he dies a short time later ..I wouldn't put a dog in there it's smelly in rooms and old furniture.my dad was partially sighted,.ease think before you let your relatives go in there..x

Absolutely terrible place, very depressing with everyone sat in their rooms like zombies staring blankly at their TV screen. My 91 year old mother couldn't even do this, i asked why the TV wasn't on and was told there was no remote control, everyone else had one but I was told to go buy one myself. The first time I turned up they took 15 mins to answer the door, covid test another 15mins, all waiting outside, I then found her freezing cold because no one had attended to her. Second time was the same except shed been buzzing for an hour to use the toilet with no answer, I had to almost drag someone to help. She just kept crying saying she wanted to go home cos no one cares, then they told me to leave because it was teatime although it didn't bother them the day before, this upset her more. If you ring and ask to speak to your relative the chances of getting an answer is slim, actually getting through to your relative is almost impossible, they said they'd take the phone, put me on hold, 20 mins later I was still on hold so hung up and tried again, this guy basically admitted I wouldn't get through because the cordless phone is the same number as the corded. It's only been a few days and the decline in her mental health is shocking, too many people accept substandard care but if more complained it wouldn't be this bad. I'll be taking her out well before her due date, don't accept this place, take them home because they'll get more care, the most depressing place I've been in a long while.

Horrible treatment of its patients. Complete ignorance to dietary needs, physical needs, not an ounce of dedication and passion from its staff. Why this is the designated centre for rehabilitation by NHS Wigan ill never know. Needs closing down it is that bad. The other scathing reviews from others on here is just scratching the surface. Grandmother was visibly terrified of the place.

After the performance i had on Sunday morning with a 81 year old woman witch i was taking back the staff were pathetic and too be truthful i would not send a animal there
