Liam Berry1 StarThey fixed my wife’s car but when we collected the car it had more lights on the dashboard than when it went in, was told it’s tracking is now out yet it only went on for a DPF clean, was pulling to the left and Steve informed me that it’s performance has improved that much it’s now wheel spinning!! Felt like it has been put into a curb to be honest and shouldn’t of been handed back to us with this light on as it was the ESP light and Steve got really arsey when I asked if it could of been put into a curb, he even put the phone down on me, turns out after they looked at it they put the steering mechanism on upside down hence pulling left and warning light, no apology after they rectified it and told me to find another garage in future. They were nice when I bought a car 4 years ago but different when dealing with them after. Won’t be returning or referring them to anyone. A sorry would of been nice after having to return twice to get it fixed on my own time and expense.UPDATE……just had Steve on the phone threatening me to remove this review, saying he’s going to war!!!!!! Not only are their cars good value and checked over thoroughly by their own mechanics, they actually care about their customers. You can immediately tell it is a pleasant and happy environment, which in turn makes it a pleasant and happy buying experience. Very nice people, trustworthy and attentive. Just recently I took it for a service at my local garage and was told that three things needed fixing (one of which was still under warrantee) and was quoted £260 to fix them. I contacted Barker Mills who were able to get me booked in ASAP to fix a leak on my gearbox.
All the staff were very kind and when I returned to get my car they had fixed all three problems with no expense even though only one of them was under warrantee. Barker Mills saved me £180 and I am very very grateful! They were really quick and efficient and are very loyal to their customers.
