Better Tuition is owned and run by Paul Syrett and Christine McLaughlin, an Urmston-based married couple with their own child who attends a local state school. We can empathise with parents’ concerns about their child’s educational journey and – as teachers of many years’ standing – we know exactly how to address any learning challenges faced by your child. For us, the most rewarding part of our professional life is seeing the huge increase in confidence and the consequent giant leaps in learning taken by our students after just a few short weeks of study at Better Tuition.

During the coronavirus pandemic, we began to offer online tuition. If you prefer not to travel to our centre, you can access small group tuition online.

At Better Tuition we have created a learning environment that is second-to-none: children are taught individually within a small-group setting (you can read more about our highly effective lesson format here) in small, brightly decorated study rooms that are designed to enhance concentration and motivation. Our tuition centre boasts a collection of resources and learning aids that is unrivalled in its depth and breadth. Hundreds of individual text books, thousands of worksheets and computer software designed to our specifications all combine to provide everything your child could ever need in order to fulfil the requirements of the National Curriculum, GCSE syllabus or entrance exams for Trafford’s grammar schools.
