Oneman Oneman1 StarGenuinely used to be the best chippy in Manchester. Last two times I've ordered its been Terrible. Don't know if they have changed the oil they use. But the chips were greasey, and the fish was Greasey also. They need to go back to what they were doing 5-6 years ago. Also they replied to my genuine review with a childish response instead maybe they could solve the obvious problems they appear to be encountering and stop making excuses and take accountability.Thursday 15th September 2022

What a disappointment it was 5.30pm so you would expect fresh chips , but they were luke warm and rubbery , the fish had not been drained properly so very greasy ,
All in all a very poor experience

Graham Sighe5 StarReally excellent chip shop, had Cheese and Onion pie which the lovely lady behind the counter said she could heat up because she didn't have any in the hot tray. Chips were freshly cooked to perfection, lady apologized for the wait which was no time at all really, but it was worth it for the fresh chips. The location was really handy for the Burrs Country Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite, just 15 minutes walk away. Would definitely be going back again for the chips alone!Thursday 13th January 2022
paul younghusband1 StarWent there because of all the good reviews but we were not impressed at all. The batter on the fish was crispy on the outside but nothing but mush on the inside. The fish was slightly undercooked and no more than a sliver of a fillet. The chips we thought were yesterday's warm ups and a good 30% inedible, in fact the whole meal was around 30% inedible. Maizie-bell Mawdsley1 StarChips are always bloody half frozen. I wouldn't even call the food ediable. Always was a good chippy since lock down has just gone more and more down hill. Waste of money. Do not recommend. Spend time and find somewhere else.Wednesday 6th October 2021
