Used to be a brilliant chippy but just paid £14 for 2 x sausage chips gravy n coke and this is how it looks after pulling as much of the f’ing paper as I could off it. Joke.

Can't fault the food, it's always really good and substantial portions. Staff are always pleasant. The only reason I haven't given full stars is because they don't take card payments and in this day and age I find that inconvenient.

I came here for food for my sick mother in hospital, and the young (girl) i wont label it a lady needs to reevaluate her attitude, face, and get a new job the way it spoke to me and another elderley lady was quite disturbing and the cocky faces it pulled to another male customer clearly mocking the old lady while fluttering the big wings it had glued to its eyelashes didnt crack a smile once its whole demeanour was vicky pollard and was quite embaressing i dont normally write reviews but this hasnt sat right with me all night. Its nice to be nice even if you have to pretend but you work right next to a hospital so maybe next time you intend to be rude for doing the job your paid to do just think how far a smile can go !!!!!

Had fish and chips.they made it look as though it was fresh. It was all dried up. Obviously been done hours earlier. I should of took it back but threw it. Never again

Ordered 2 fish, 2 chips, a sausage , peas, gravy and an English curry tonight. When we drove all the way home and unpacked everything , the curry was the wrong curry it was Chinese not English and they had forgotten the sausage ( the only thing my 3 year old enjoys from the chippy ) we decided to just plate up and eat as by the time I would drive back to the chippy to tell them the rest of the food would be cold! Then when we sat down to eat , the fish looked great was a good size until We realised the majority of it was batter. £4.50 per fish for the majority of it being batter , I wish we never bothered. Having worked in a chippy myself for over 8 years I know that wasn’t worth the money whatsoever! Had high expectations for this place but will just stick to my usual from now on. ( sorry for the bad review but it really did deserve it , maybe was having a bad day as some of the reviews are great on here , however our experience was poor)
