I got a quote for flooring and they wouldn't give me a break down of the cost. When I pushed for this they finally have me a separate price for the flooring and the fitting but their figures didn't add up. They were trying to charge for 20% wastage when others quoted for 10‰ and they also tried charging an extra 30% onto the fitting cost. When I queried this they became snappy and told me very bluntly that this was "industry standard". Its not. I got the job done elsewhere for £1000 fitting instead of their £1300 and for only 10 % wastage.
