Charlestown Private Day Nursery

Charlestown Day Nursery and Chinley Day Nursery are family run sister nurseries. Charlestown opened in 1989 and Chinley opened in 2016. We have been graded Outstanding and Good from OFSTED throughout and we strive to continue to provide the excellent care and learning we provide to all our children and their families. Our aim is for your child to be happy, safe and secure and for them to leave nursery, a confident and happy child and ready for their next step in their education at school. We promise to give your child a sound foundation for life and provide as much experience and learning as we can throughout their time at nursery.  

Our playrooms are all age appropriate rooms and are ran by Level 3/4/5 qualified and experienced nursery practitioners  who plan and prepare themes and activities for their room with the aim of stimulating your child’s all round development using the Early Years Foundation stage profile(EYFS)

The children’s meals are prepared each day by our qualified cook, and are planned with a varied diet, catering for vegetarians and any special dietary requirements your child may have.  Our qualified cooks on both sites plan healthy menu’s, using fresh ingredients daily such as Liver crumble, vegetable lasagne, Spanish chicken and lots more.  The children enjoy their meals each day and parents ask frequently for our recipes, which we share each month.  We pride ourselves on gaining the Gold star healthy eating and nutrition award and 5 star Health and food hygiene awards.
