Could not recommend enough. Nick was brilliant with Eric. Kept us updated with pictures and videos. Gave us lots of practical advice. This was the first time I boarded my 5 month old Airedale, but I shouldn’t have worried, Eric clearly had a brilliant time with Nick. No hesitation at all with booking with City Dog MCR again. Thank you again

Please please please do not send your dog here. We didn’t feel confident from the beginning with strange and erratic communication, but gave Nick the benefit of the doubt. The first time we left our dog, we didn’t hear anything for over 24hrs the day before we were due to pick him up. On the day we were collecting him I tried contacting Nick numerous ways on various numbers he had given us. We got no reply and at the end of our train journey, at the time we were picking him up, Nick finally answered the phone. I asked if my messages hadn’t got through and he brushed it off. At this point we had already booked our dog in again and paid for the upcoming visit. The day before we were due to fly, I again couldn’t contact Nick. It got to 8pm the night before we were travelling and I hadn’t heard from him, so had to very quickly arrange last minute care for our dog which was very stressful. I emailed him on the day we were travelling saying we needed a refund after not hearing anything from him. Shortly after I emailed, I received a text from Nick asking when I was dropping my dog off. This was 3pm in the afternoon when our flight was 11am that morning, we needed to drop him off around 9am. I replied saying that I needed a refund and how frustrating and angering the situation was. I have had no reply after several messages. His still has our money as well. I am looking into taking this further but urging anyone reading this to not use this service. Not only this, but I did not get a comfortable feeling - he constantly swore and spoke quite aggressively about things, including his neighbour that he stuck his fingers up at behind his back when he walked past. This does not have the feeling of a business and has left us with a really unsettled feeling. I don’t want anyone else to go through this.

Strongly advise to avoid this place, booked our dog in for a holiday after reading such great reviews. Sent 50% of the deposit and was asked when we could do a meet and greet day. After replying with dates I heard nothing for a week so decided to cancel (with 2 months notice).. I did this on my online account, also messaged them to let them know. After 6 days they replied ‘hi sorry only just getting back to you’ and then nothing else… I asked what happened about a refund or even partial refund as I understand there is sometimes a charge. I got a reply from them advising its credit on my account and it can be rearranged with this credit, and if I had requested a cancellation I would get 75% of this back. I advised them it was a cancellation I requested online which I have proof of and also advised it was a cancellation in the message. Since then I’ve tried phoning and messaging and their number is disconnected or they have blocked me. My partner has also tried phoning and messaging and got nowhere. Either this place is a scam or they’re doing people out of money. I’m now going to dispute this with my bank and take this further to ensure nobody else makes the same mistake as me. AVOID !!!!

I would highly recommend City Dog Mcr! From start to finish Nick went over and beyond for us after being let down last minute before our holiday. He took very good care of Ice and sent us photos. We will definitely be using his services again.

I Strongly dont recommend him. He insist to get paid upfront then consistently doesn’t show up without giving any notice. He cancelled after I paid him a full month claiming he is sick and refused to refund it. I will take him to court
