CAN I DO A SESSION at The Hive FIRST before taking a membership?

Of course! Booking online via TeamUp is required. Follow this link for purchasing your first session at CrossFit Bury The Hive.We offer FREE no-sweat intro if you prefer meeting a coach directly to discuss and work a plan to help you achieve your goal.

IS THE CrossFit Bury The HIVE EXPENSIVE?

If you are comparing us to other gyms selling you access to their rows of machines, then YES we are! If you are comparing us to other gyms packing members in like sardines and getting you through random circuit exercises, then YES we are! But, we are a WORLD APART from those gyms; let us explain.

With group class sizes limited to 8 people, we are here to provide you with an affordable alternative to the one-to-one personal trainer format. We aren’t going to sheep hurdle you through the hour on one of those boring bootcamp circuit, we are here to COACH you! This means, we will guide your progress, build your strength, work on your weakness, to achieve those personal goals you have, and will make sure your get the best hour of your day with us! Our coaching and training is very personalised and technique-focused. We aim for quality movement above anything else. This is tailored individual coaching in a group environment.

At The Hive - CrossFit Bury gym you won’t see rows of “fancy” machines, which most people don’t know how to use - this is not what we sell! Our focus is on free weights, conditioning and functional fitness - the stripped back look of the gym can be strange at first, however once you taste the benefits of having a mentor to teach you on how to maximise your health and fitness, you will never look back!

DO I HAVE TO BE FIT TO do crossfit & JOIN THE HIVE Bury?

The simple answer is No! We get asked this by a lot of newcomers and our answer is always the same… You join The Hive to get fit. No matter what stage of your fitness journey you’re at, we can help get youfaster, stronger and leaner. Our aim is all round wellbeing and performance.

I joined The Hive in January at the start of this year and has been hands down the best thing I've ever done for my fitness! There's plenty of different classes so the workouts are varied, challenging but always great fun. Everyone at the gym has been friendly and encouraging, and due to there being max 8 people per class, means you get plenty of great 1-on-1 time coaching with Frenchi Would absolutely recommend anyone to come down and get involved!

I've been going to the Hive CrossFit for nearly nine months and absolutely love it. The classes and coaching are great. Coach Frenchi is enthusiastic and professional, a terrific motivator who knows when to push you more. The people are all so friendly, and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. I would recommend this box to anyone.

I joined The Hive around 2 years ago now, having previously used 'regular gyms' and wanting something more sociable and motivating. You'll never leave a workout feeling you've not left it all on the floor! It's a really welcoming and positive environment for all levels of fitness, with a supportive, community atmosphere. Genuinely all are welcome and it's an eclectic mix. The classes are generally a max of 8 people, so you get plenty of time for quality coaching from Frenchi who genuinely cares for his customers' health, fitness and general enjoyment. Always positive, he knows his stuff and knows exactly when to push you harder, focus on technique or scale things back a little. The fitness is measurable through the boxmate app where you can track your scores and weights to see your own progress. But also, it's functional and has real world benefits, meaning you will reap the benefits of exercise in everyday life. I have found this through my working life wherein I am required to maintain good physical health and fitness as an emergency service worker, but also in my home life, doing physical DIY work etc. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic little gym with a friendly, welcoming and supportive atmosphere - regardless of age, gender, ability and fitness levels. Frenchi is a superb and patient coach as well as being a top guy! Putting on varied sessions and taking time to explain and demonstrate each exercise. He provides ongoing guidance and encouragement during the workouts to ensure technique is correct and suggests alternative complementary exercises if appropriate. I've been going for 9 months and noticed significant improvements in my fitness levels, techniques and even my ageing physique.

I have been attending the hive crossfit for just over 2 years, its brilliant! When lockdown hit and everyones life changed I started working out on the zoom classes replacing my previous normal pure gym routine. Its so much better and even more so since returning to the box itself. Its different every day, challenging but also you do it at a pace that is suitable for you, everyone is welcome no matter how fit or unfit you are which i think is one of the main things i love about it. Zero egos which is unusual in a gym! I always thought I preferred to work out on my own but having done this now i dont ever see myself going back. Give it a try, you will probably love it
