JEREMY BENNETT OF O’HARAS LIMITED WAS APPOINTED AS ADMINISTRATOR OF EMPATHY UK FUNERAL PLANS LIMITED ON 28 OCTOBER 2022

All Funeral Plan providers are required to be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) from 29th July 2022. Empathy UK Funeral Plans Ltd (EUKFP) has been preparing for this since September 2021.

We have reached an agreement with Dignity Funeral Plans Limited (Dignity), who are authorised and regulated by the FCA, that they will be able to offer new, like-for-like funeral plans to current EUKFP Holders at no additional cost.

You should receive a letter from both the Administrators and Dignity containing details around your options and the process you need to follow to opt-in to the Dignity plan, should you decide that this is what you would like to do.

The result of this transfer will mean an increased level of protection and greater peace of mind for our clients.

Cancelling Funeral Plan contracts after the 30-day cooling off period has always been at the discretion of EUKFP. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to cancel your Funeral Plan after this time, as this would negatively impact our ability to transfer existing plans to a new provider.
