Got my car fixed through the insurance after an accident. This garage tried to charge well over the excess amount. I am insured by an American company with an excess of $200 which is about £153. FMG told me i owed £410 excess, when i questioned the amount they all of a sudden changed it to £154. When i asked where they got the figure from they advised my insurance company.. this is very unlikely as the insurance company would have had to tell them my excess was $520, big jump from $200. When i requested a schedule of works from the garage they advised me they could not give me a breakdown of what was spent… why? I do not know. One reason may be them paying for lock and wheel nuts that were already in the glove box of the car, the person who collected the car asked where they were. Overall i cannot 100% say the garage has tried to overcharge me or overcharge the insurance company for things they did not need to pay for but i just think it all seems very dodgy. Be careful if you are using this garage.

Appalling company and appalling customer service, when we complained about the quality of the repairs the “manager” said “you don’t like me do you”. I could have done a better job of the repairs myself. If your insurance company selects FMG ask to go elsewhere as otherwise you will be back and forth getting additional damage repaired as our car came back with more damage than it went in with !

They are horrible at what they do nothing more nothing less even the receptions can’t do their job.
