GB1 is designed for beginners and focuses on developing essential skills in self defense and basic positions. This level provides a strong foundation for further progress, promoting confidence, energy, concentration, focus, and determination.

GB2 focuses on advanced techniques, helping to differentiate your skills from others.

GB3 is for students who have completed the white belt journey and are ready to explore more complex techniques. This level is ideal for those looking to reach their full potential on the mat, as it offers training designed for blue belts and higher.

To excel in any pursuit, one must possess strong values and a solid character that fuels perseverance towards their goals. The Gracie Barra Kids Program was established to instil these values in children aged 3-15 through a supportive and engaging environment.

Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu provides a challenging, yet safe and nurturing environment for children to develop into champions in both sport and life. Regular practice instils discipline and excellence, reflecting positively on a child’s behaviour at home and school.

The Gracie Barra Kids Program is divided into three age- and skill-level groups: Little Champions I (3-6 years old), Little Champions II (7-9 years old), and Juniors & Teens (10-14 years old).

Cannot beat it, I have been doing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for nearly 2 years. It has majorly helped with the arthritis in my spine, it's a very friendly, loving and caring 2nd family, and could not fault it one bit, Professor Mark Elliot goes above and beyond for all students from 4 years old onwards, and provides a range of classes to suit ages and needs.

World class coaching with a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a BJJ gym in the Manchester area that priorities technical proficiency, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and two outstanding professors (Professor Mark and Professor Prem), who truly care about their students, then look no further. From the moment you step inside the gym you can feel the positive energy and camaraderie amongst the students and coaches. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, and it's clear that the gym is a tight-knit community where everyone supports each other and wants to see each other succeed. Never bet against a person who just keeps showing up.

Great club, my son loves it! Didn’t think he would engage at four years old but he’s really focused and gets excited on the days he knows he has training. Fantastic place - the trainers patience, explanations and general attitude is something else!

If you are reading these reviews, it is possibly because you are thinking about giving this a go but you are hesitant or nervous for some reason. Don’t be! The school itself is a safe and welcoming environment with a diverse range of people that attend classes, and there is a strong ethos that everyone gets better together. You will get all the help and support needed to learn and more information will be shared with you than is humanly possible to take in. I have benefited in so many ways from joining. 12 months ago, I’d done no meaningful and regular exercise for years, had all the wrong habits you can possibly have, overweight, unfit and pretty much rock bottom in terms of physical and mental health. Since starting at the end of February I’ve gone from a resting heart rate in the 60s&70s to resting heart rate in the 40s & 50s, lost at least a stone in weight and feel fitter and stronger than I have in 15 years. If you’ve thought about it, stop thinking about it and go for it!
