At Higher Oak Farm we care passionately about the provenance of our birds, bees and eggs. We believe in farming as naturally as possible. We believe in working in harmony with nature and try to give all our animals as natural an environment as possible. We feel that by farming everything naturally, the taste is Naturally Better.

Absolutely great farm. Love the Shepherds hut it's fantastic really is a gem in the counrty side. The breed of chicken's they had was excellent for choice I bought some fertilised eggs that are due tomorrow fingers crossed I will be posting pictures of some cute fluffy little chicks. Had a broody hen, purchased 6 fertile eggs.100% hatch rate. I was 30 minutes late on a busy day for the folks at Higher Oak, but wasnt an issue very helpful all the way. Highly recomended.

Absolutely the best, freshest eggs I have ever tasted. Went to try out the new Shepherds Hut today, which is conveniently right by the road. Super easy system and takes card payments which was a huge plus. The baked goods had already all sold out (sadly), but just an excuse to go back.

I bought some Light Sussex hatching eggs for my daughters to have in our garden as they’ve been desperate to collect their own eggs for years. The eggs were delivered to our house quickly and packaged really well, all 12 eggs hatched and we are delighted with our new chicks! Had a great conversation with the farm owner on the phone who gave us loads of handy tips as we are first time hatchers. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to hatch and rear their own rare breed hens!
