The staff here have always been welcoming towards me. I am always followed around shops, so it doesn't bother me when they follow me around the store or ask me do I need help. I mostly go in knowing exactly what I want, getting it and leaving quickly. And I understand that the team here at chorlton branch have experienced a lot with theft and rude customers. A little patience and understanding from customers towards the team wouldn't go a miss. Humanity is key.

Despite loving Holland and Barrett for my calm tea and sleepy tea, today at 5:20 (8th September 2022) me and my girlfriend went in to look for tea, they had no calm tea in stock so we decided to just browse the shop and not buy anything. Then an extremely rude and condescending woman (staff) followed us to ask if we were going to buy the item we had previously picked up (and had put back). Our hands were obviously completely EMPTY because we had put the sleep tea back as we wanted the buy 2 get 1 half price deal. She was trying to insinuate we were stealing. We are just young students browsing herbal tea… not shop lifters… I have a Holland and Barrett card and obviously pay every time I go. This was clear and obvious discrimination against the way we looked as young students. I’ve come home feeling extremely angry and my girlfriend is upset. We would never steal, our hands were empty, and she never saw us put the item back… she just ASSUMED we were stealing because of the way we looked. NEVER ASUME BASED ON THE WAY SOMEONE LOOKS… IT SHOULD BE BASED ON EVIDENCE, of which there was none because we clearly didn’t steal or ever plan to… I just wanted to pay for the calm and sleepy tea and receive the points on my Holland and Barrett loyalty card but decided not to because they had no calm tea. I feel completely discriminated against and sad.

An offer of buy one get one half price was stated in the label, however when I went to the till the cashier charged me both items full price. There were people behind me in the queue and I found it embarrassing and humiliating as the manager was called and said the same thing, insisting the labelling was a mistake of some sort. In the end, I got the offer but the staff didn't apologise and I had wasted 40 mins. Would not recommend.

Dreadful customer service. Despite their website saying the opened at 9am I traipsed down there for 20 minutes walk in the rain only to find the door open and when I walked in I was greeted by a very aggressive member of staff to say I couldn’t come in as they were taking a delivery/stock take and they couldn’t let people in for health and safety reasons. What a load of rubbish! I asked how long this would take as they had three members of staff hanging around the counter and I only wanted one item. She shrugged her shoulders and said “around half hour ish”. What an appalling store with an appalling staff member. She had service with a scowl. Will never return and support them. I found the exact product online tonight on Amazon which will be delivered tomorrow. It’s people like her that are destroying local business and forcing them elsewhere. Well done Chorlton store!!

This store is a treasure house for the health conscious. They have it all from food to skin/ hair care to make your own body scrubs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I was able to purchase from a wide variety of vegan protein powders 😍😍.
