Hope has been shown to be an important part of the recovery process from illness; it has strong psychological benefits for patients, helping them to cope more effectively. Hope motivates people to pursue healthy behaviours for recovery, helping to enhance recovery from illness and, helping preventing against new illnesses developing. HSL is a positive organisation, always believing that hope will help win through for individuals.

Strength through adversity. In some cases, being strong is simply about being able to persevere through extreme adversity, such as the tragic loss of a loved one, or one of life's many other challenges. Adversity can also present itself as emotional trauma or distress. These experiences  can leave us feeling weak, or hopeless. At times like this, we can help give you the strength to carry on and be strong again. We never give up.

Light was created before anything else. Light overpowers darkness in the physical realm since light photons can dispel darkness;  darkness cannot dispel light. Light is visible in the dark, even if there’s only a small amount of light. This same principle applies spiritually, as the light of hope always shines through the darkness of discouragement and despair. Where there is darkness, we will be your shining light, providing hope, strength and leading you out of darkness, into the light.

We were so very lucky the NHS/McMillan sent us Angel's from HSL. The girls who came to help us are special souls. They helped give our Mum dignity and pride right to the end. We can not express enough how grateful we are. Thankyou . Highly recommended.
