What a way to start you're day...let alone a Monday!!! Some may say the sun never shines in Manchester or the City of Salford indeed....however metaphorically the sun 🌞☀😎is always out here

I work in construction so feel that I've had a broader experience of many skip companies than non-industry reviewers. I think JWS is an excellent company. Polite drivers who actually put the skip where you want it, sharp office staff , competitive prices and prompt collection. The only disadvantage of this company is that they don't put skips on the road, so you'll need a driveway. Use them for a (in the 20 times I have) hassle free time!

Hi I was a employee at jws waste in Salford. When I first started the job was brilliant. Then time went by and a couple members of staff started treating me different compared to other drive I had been out with and it started to get to me a little. I have struggled the months I’ve work for jws a lot with my anxiety and depression during covid-19 and Christmas as I was a new arrival not know whether my job is safe as I have a house to pay for and have just recently had a baby so very stressful times. As time went on the pressure that the Transport Office put on drivers not just me is phenomenal. Us as drivers take great pride in what we do as if anything went wrong on a job it would be on the drivers hands. the office staff will never help if we ring up with a problem they would just tell you to try your best which results in a driver pressure on him self And it’s not fair. I have had some issues at work a couple of time with my timekeeping but due to having a baby it’s very hard when your mrs couldn’t do much do to complications in her labour so I was up a lot of the night with him and I know this isn’t a excuse. It resulted in me being late. I would say I’m a very enthusiastic man but when you got spoken to like dirt off Transport Office really puts you down and your enthusiasm slowly dies off. Especially when you suffer with anxiety and depression it doesn’t help the way you are spoken to. In my time at JWS waste I have enjoyed the work and the drivers that they have I have never had a bad complaint of a customer as I am the face of the company and took great pride in what I did to the best of my ability. I would always do anything to try and help a customer out when asked. I also had an injury during my time which included a old barn door skip that I heard they was banned from use because you open the doors from Back of the door right in the middle which is classed as dangerous as you open the door all the stuff could potential fall on you that didn’t happen in my event the bar fired open and hit me in the mouth and bruised my cheekbone it should be for the safety of me and all there other driver. I have been dismissed before my six-month probation which makes me feel like I’ve been used during the Christmas period I don’t feel like I did anything wrong if answering back to a transport staff is that bad they shouldn’t be able to treat you the way they do and get away with it. like I’ve said a number of times I feel like people in that department didn’t like me I don’t know what I did to make them feel that way. I did talk to health and safety when we spoke about my accident. But I said I don’t like confrontation so I left it all so I though I’d leave this here and hopefully someone will respond to me. Thank you Thomas greenwood
