Directions
Manchester Airport, World Freight Terminal is located via the M56 at Junction 6. The M56 provides direct links to the M6 and the M60, ensuring ease of accessibility whether travelling from the North or South.
If travelling to the airport from local areas or Manchester city centre itself, follow signs for the A34 or A5103.
From the M56 follow the signs for the World Freight Terminal which brings you onto Avro Way. Follow Avro Way to the end of the road and turn right onto Pinfold Lane, the Coach Operations Centre is situated on the right. Please proceed with caution when entering the Coach Operations Centre for manoeuvring vehicles. Also please ensure you observe the one way system.
There is strictly no parking on the surrounding roads.
Checking in
Once you have arrived at the Customer Transport Operations Centre please park your vehicle in one of the vacant bays. For health and safety compliance, please ensure that you wear your high visibility jackets when around the parking area and outside the terminal buildings. Permits will only be issued to drivers wearing a high visibility jacket. Please ensure your vehicle is switched off and left secure before reporting to reception.
Proceed to reception to purchase your permit, information on flight arrival times will be given to you on request. For Terminal 2 collection you will be given a password to gain entry along with a permit. For Terminal 3 collection you will be informed of what time to depart from Coach Operations Centre and issued a permit. Your permit must be displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle at all times when parked in the Customer Transport Operations centre and the Terminals. Please ensure your flight has landed before proceeding to the terminal to pick up your passengers.

Coach drop off
This remains a free of charge service and will be situated on the first two bus stops on Palma Avenue. You must not pick up customers on the drop off zone; the road system will be enforced with a Traffic Regulation Order and will be monitored by the police.
Terminal 3 Coach drop off charge within 15 minutes - £5 (this applies to T3 only)
Coach pick up
Please follow the usual procedure of signing in at Customer Transport and ascertaining a permit and password for entry into the pick-up area. The pick-up area is now situated just off Palma Avenue and out of the controlled lane (3rd entrance off Palma Avenue). Please note that the pick-up area only has the capacity for 3 large vehicles, therefore permission must be sought from the coach welcome reception before you leave the area to collect any customers.

Please report to Customer Transport Operations where you will be issued a permit to access the pick-up areas in the relevant Terminals, you will be asked to provide details of the flight you are collecting.
Please ensure that you do not pick up in drop off only areas.

Please report to Customer Transport Operations through the usual process and follow the above guidelines for Terminals.
Please note that the Terminal 2 procedure has changed and you will need to gain permission to leave the Coach Welcome area and proceed to Terminal 2.
