This company are appalling. Would have no stars if possible. They were employed to externally insulate my Victorian terraced house some years ago. On completion of the work rainwater leaked into several rooms in my house causing long standing damage to plaster, decoration, flooring and damaging phone connections which had to be replaced twice. Insurend could not have been less interested. Despite my concerted efforts, and the existence of the Guarantee {a copy of which which took several months of effort from me to extract from their office}, Insurend took several more months to come back to even investigate, let alone deal with the damage they had caused. They consistently denied any responsibility for the issues and could not have cared less that I was having my house flooded at every rainfall. I have occupied this house for 30 years and never had any problem with damp at all. In desperation I sought the advice and technical support of Wetherby, the supplier of the insulation system used who were very supportive at no cost and helped investigate the problem. Through several of their inspections and my research, we eventually identified that there had been a complete omission of a vital sealant to the top of most of the insulation at roof level as well as inadequate sealant to most of the other joints. A report was sent to Insurend. Following this, Insurend repeatedly failed to turn up for site meetings and ignored the report detailing the remedy. They only came to correct this poor workmanship after several more months of continual phone calls letters and emails from myself. The correct solution should have been to remove the section of faulty work and put in all the proper sealants both behind and in front of the insulation before replacing the sections of insulation. This was not done. Some Sealant was hastily put in along the top of the insulation done incompletely. This remedial work was inadequate and has failed to resolve the issue. Problems in two rooms remain and damp is still coming through two lots of new decoration with water clearly still getting in to my previously completely dry house. The leak down the back of the external insulation is now preventing a regularly damp wall from ever drying out and presents a serious problem to the fabric of the building. The work still under guarantee and despite months of more phone calls, letters and emails throughout last last year, Insurend now refuse to respond in any way or to honour the contract. They are completely unapologetic for the the damage and years of distress they have caused and are still causing. They have consistently, throughout this fiasco, responded to my efforts to get any response from them negatively. At no point have they ever replied to letters and phone calls only communicating when I have managed to catch them on mobiles after repeated efforts. They have never offered compensation for the damage caused by their incompetence. This is a terrible company, in my experience they are unreliable and unprofessional. Employ at your peril.

After having had a very bad experience with a 'cowboy' builder in the past we were fearful of having the house rendered again. Our trepidation turned out to be totally unfounded and we cannot praise Insurend enough. From start to finish they were fantastic & very professional. Everything (including the driveway) was masked off and on completion of the rendering it was all removed leaving no mess. They did a brilliant job of rendering our house and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Bunch of cowboys, shocking company! Poor communication, turn up unannounced, left a mess, scratched brand new window frames and cut window seal. Had to redo silicone sealant as initially done in wrong colour and render is now soft and crumbling away around all windows and door frame. Insurend say this is due to silicon sealant failure that they applied to finish the job so will not come to rectify the issue! Unless you want a poor rendering job doing, avoid like the plague Update and response to Insurend - The rendering was completed in Feb 2020 and i reported the crumbling in Sep 20 - check your emails Jake! This was 6 months later and you agreed there was an issue after i sent you the pictures. See attached email screenshots. After repeated chasing you finally sent someone round (12 months after first reporting the issue) to be told its a maintenance issue and not covered by your guarantee. Come on Jake, explain to the world what maintenance i should be doing to prevent render from crumbling away from around my windows and door after only 6 months?
