Amazing choice of coffees and such friendly service. Clearly a labour of love for the person (people?) who run it. I got to smell the jars and decide which one I liked the most, then my bag was weighed to order so you can decide how much to spend on a bag! Will definitely be back. Only place I've found in Ashton that does speciality coffee like this. Hopefully one day it can move into a larger, permanent space.

Market Grounds may be small in size but it's big on quality, taste and value. There's a huge selection of coffee and tea waiting to be discovered here. Fresh roasted beans are ground and tamped per shot or bagged to take home for the perfect espresso without chain store bitterness or trendy high street mark-up. Iced Sang Tao One over condensed milk is a Robusta revelation and with 40% more caffeine than Arabica coffees has an exotic kick to match its Vietnamese heritage. Home-made food and friendly, knowledgeable staff compliment the excellent flavours to make this Tameside gem truly special.
