Had high hopes for New Beech, having received a recommendation from some of their loyal customers. For me it was initially a good enough experience, them getting my car in as soon as they could, diagnosing the problem and letting me know the next steps. From then on the customer service was pretty pitiful unfortunately. I was told I would be phoned back the same day with a price, and wasn't. I phoned 2 days later and left a message which wasn't returned. I phoned the next day and was told I would receive a call back following the weekend, and wasn't. 2 days later I phoned again and mentioned Christmas being imminent (I wasn't going to be in the area so needed it sorting), and was told this could be sorted in time and I would be phoned back in 5 minutes. When this didn't happen, I phoned back 2 hours later and was told I would be phoned back in 10-15 minutes, but wasn't. They say you only get one chance to make a good first impression, yet I gave many chances - in fact, reading this back I feel like a bit of an idiot, but I was just really keen to get the problem sorted for Christmas. Seemed decent enough blokes, but customer service and managing expectations is crucial and it goes without saying that because this was poor, I won't be returning.

Took my car in on spec as it suddenly started losing coolant and overheating. The owner Neil offered to look at it without delay, pressure testing it and diagnosing the problem quickly. He then sourced the necessary parts direct from Mercedes, repaired it and road tested it and problem sorted! Couldn’t be happier with the service and Neil kept me informed throughout the process. Can’t fault the price either which was really reasonable in view of the work they undertook - it’s reassuring to know you’re not being ripped off. All in all I can highly recommend this local, friendly garage and I’ll definitely be using the expertise of Neil and the lads at New Beech for any other repairs in the future. Thanks guys! 👍
