Established in Manchester in 1873, we are an old Manchester Family Firm of Funeral Directors, originally based in Moss Side, Manchester and Old Trafford in the Stretford Borough. However, with the progress of time we now operate through two branches. Our Head Office is situated in Manchester Road, Chorlton-cum-Hardy in South Manchester, and we also have an office on Barton Road, Stretford.

Due to our reputation, and having been established for so many years, we often also serve families in the Trafford districts, including Urmston, Flixton, Davyhulme, Partington, Stretford, Sale and Altrincham, also all Salford areas, Eccles, Prestwich,Whitefield and Bury, North and South Manchester including Wythenshawe.

In fact we are able and willing to serve all of Greater Manchester and surrounding areas. Distance is no object, and we have often helped families arrange funerals all over the UK, including Wales, Scotland, Ireland and even Internationally.

An old established Independent Family Firm, carrying on with the virtues, & personal care, it was set up to do in 1873. Pepperdine Barrett, have recently helped me, & extended family, through the devastating loss of my young sister. Professional, caring, compassionate, & thorough in every detail, of losing a loved one. The grieving process, is lightened knowing that you are in 'Good Hands' My surname, should not put you off this review! Pepperdine Barrett conducted the funeral of both my parents within the last 7 months. The service they provided was amazing. Kate, Barry, John, Pauline and the rest of the team/family made this extremely difficult time that much more bearable and nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond even finding us a violinist to play. Thankyou All for All you did for not just for Mum and Dad that were in your care but for the Care you extended to the whole family. Update on original review. Used Pepperdine Barrett for my mums funeral Dec 2021 and now for my dads Aug 2022. Both times PB provided the perfect send off. Everything from first contact to the day of the funeral went smoothly. We had to delay my mums funeral due to my dad going in hospital They were very sympathetic and gave us the time needed. Just want to say thanks to Kate and the rest at Pepperdine for arranging the perfect send off for my parents. I would highly recommend. Thanks again.

The staff at Pepperdine Barrett were efficient, kind and respectful throughout the process of organising my mum's funeral. I cannot thank them enough for making what was a very difficult time, especially during the pandemic, easier. They made sure that all my mum's and our wishes were taken care of and that we knew exactly how things would go on the day. If you sadly need their services for a relative or wish to make plans for yourself, I recommend them.
