Our restaurant in Poynton draws inspiration from the work of famed local illustrator Leslie Wood, and boasts a stunning open Pizzaiolo kitchen space, as well as bespoke artwork featuring the charming illustrations of the man himself. The beautiful walled garden terrace, complete with awning and topiary spheres, provides the perfect ‘al fresco’ backdrop and a chance for customers to watch the world go by. Beyond pizza, there are cookies – we use the non-edible kind on this site. 3.5 starts out of 5. Over all was okay Our waiter for our dining experience was great , tipped £5 as she was happy and looked like she genuinely wanted to be there. Customer service skills was great Now to the downfall that put me off ever going back; I had a bolognaise and the pasta was stone cold , i ended up having a mouth full and leaving it, the waitress was very sorry and got her manager, the manager came over and said ‘ what do you wanna do with it’ in a very not bothered voice & then continued to say ‘well you’ve already paid now do you just want a fresh one’ - even though i had paid cash so she could’ve offered some of my money back. If i’m going to be honest the waitress was the best thing about the place

Disappointed to have arrived after booking on the phone to be told that they have no pasta in the entire restaurant group due to supply issues. Would have appreciated being advised when we booked rather than it being a surprise as we'd have chosen to go elsewhere. It took 2.5 hours for us to have a meal with the kids and pay, which felt way too long. The restaurant wasn't crazy busy either. Disappointing.

Always like Pizza Express as the menu is very good and the staff are very good and service is very quick. I only dine inside. I am not sure if they have Take Away or Delivery.

Can’t even begin to explain how peeved off I left this restaurant tonight! Booked in for my partner for Father’s Day as a treat off our kids as it’s his favourite restaurant, but this particular pizza express is absolutely shocking! The starters were all fine, can’t really go wrong with doh balls, the drinking glasses we were given were all filthy, ordered the childrens starters and meals but wasn’t sure on what my partner wanted as he was on the loo so she said she would come back to finish the order, in which time, the kids starts arrived and we hadn’t even finished ordering, so they had had their starters and mains before our main arrived, the childrens pizzas had hardly any cheese on them just loads of tomato sauce, and my partners pizza was absolutely appalling, we literally never complain but the experience was that bad! The staff just didn’t care at all, when we told the girl serving us about my partners pizza, she just said ‘oh sorry’ and walked off with the pizza, came back once speaking to somebody to offer to put it back in but it was wayyy past saving, soggy and raw. Once passing on the complaint at the end of the meal, the lady just walked off, 5 minutes later another lady comes to the table who’s customer service was also shocking. Yes, they took my partners raw pizza off the bill, but so they should as he didn’t eat it! So tonight we went out for a meal for Father’s Day for the ‘father’ to leave without having had a meal. Oh, and they also had no penne. Never thought I would have to complain at pizza express, obviously just picked the wrong restaurant as others we have been too have always been great!

Visited many times, less than 10 people were seated, service slow. Ordered Niçoise salad, it came without eggs. Staff apologised, explaining they had run out of eggs! There are several supermarkets close to premises. Asked for coffee with hot milk, came with cold. Had to ask three times for jug of water. Very polite staff but standards definitely dropped, disappointed.
