Paul Maddocks2 StarStaff are slick and super friendly but don’t be taken in! Bought a cheap motor from them and was promised it would have oil service and all essential fluids topped up. None of these things happened: oil like tar, power steering reservoir empty, brake fluid low, coolant non-existent.
Washer-wipe jets didn’t work (how did it pass its MOT?🤷♂️) so had to locate issue and fix this myself. Car now runs fine but I shouldn’t have had to do things that were promised and I paid for. Question and check their work prior to final payment on collection.Wednesday 11th October 2023
Un Happy1 StarWow be very very careful and read other reviews …. Bought a VW amarok, told it had everything done to it , got there nothing had been Done !! I even had to collect spare key,spare wheel And side step off old owner , service hadn’t been done and once the tcut came off the car looked like it had been in a bush . Amy Glascoe2 StarCustomer service before buying the car was great, even bought the make and model of car I wanted through auction, I felt they did me a favour so I bought the car quite quickly, boot is temperamental, wish I would of noticed the crack in the windscreen to that I had to fix, after a month engine light came on, I had a garage plug it in 2 major fault codes came on sent it richmond they said they cleared the codes drove it for 4 days and found nothing wrong with it so the codes must of been old, few weeks later engine lights back on cars misfiring and it's looking like a timing chain issue, spoke to Richmond their response is use the warrenty. They do not honour the consumer rights act 2015 the car is not fit for purpose, I've since read other reviews claiming they sell cars with issues knowing people will have to use warranty to fix them.
