The Royal Balti House is Bolton's oldest Indian restaurant. Established in 1969 under the name of Kohinoor (Jewel In The Crown), it remains a legendary culinary landmark and favourite amongst foodies and critics alike, playing host to celebrities and regular patrons who return time after time to enjoy our exquisite traditional Indian cuisine.

The room is quite small meaning a bit cramped due to popularity. Due to said popularity, the meal seems rushed(order main meal during starter) which just adds a little pressure. The food is absolutely incredible, the service is excellent. If a more relaxed it would be probably the very best in north west. Definitely recommend

We have been getting takeaway from here about once a week since we first found it about a year ago. This evening we went into the restaurant for the first time. What a great experience. The staff are all amazingly friendly and helpful, and really polite. The food is absolutely amazing, so flavourful and generous portions. We will continue to order our takeaways, and visit the restaurant again when we can. Well done to the owner, the manager, and all the staff. A five star review for a 5 star restaurant
