Suzanne Brockbank1 StarBooked an appointment for a full head colour, cut and blow. Salon was a bit busy but as expected on the first Saturday after lockdown. All of my appointment was done by the apprentice (which wasn’t a bad thing as she did exactly what she was told to do). However she was told to do my roots which was then left on for about an hour then told to use water to spread the colour to my ends. I’ve ended up with bright red roots and dull purple/red/brown ends, in the sunlight it looks a mess. Seems the colour I asked for (deep red/violet) wasn’t given as I seen them using the leftovers of my colour on a woman who had requested bright red hair.
For this I was charged £59 which I’m pretty certain is a full head colour price not the roots which is what I got. In the shop it wasn’t obvious how bad is looks, seen it in my car mirror outside and it’s shocking.
Other people in the shop were complaining and being dismissed, quite shocking customer service really.
I now have to pay someone to fix this mess.Sunday 18th April 2021

Clive Herring Lips1 StarI agreed a price over the phone which was supposed to be £63 for cut and colour. The stylist herself was very friendly and did a good job, however when it came to payment at the very end the manager cut in and insisted that because of the Olaplex I would have to pay £85 in total. When I challenged the price and referred to what had originally been quoted it fell on deaf ears. At no point during my visit was it made clear that Olaplex was not part of the agreed appointment, and no mention was therefore made of any additional costs on top. It caused a visible awkwardness between the stylist and the manager because the stylist was doing her best to fight my corner. The disagreement also took place in front of other customers, making the whole thing very awkward and very unprofessional. There is absolutely zero point in agreeing an appointment time and price in advance if stealth charges are going to be added at the end without any discussion first. I'm really upset by the experience and although most of the staff are friendly, the bolshy attitude of the manager and her complete disregard for procedure or customer satisfaction means I will absolutely not be returning here, nor recommending it to anyone. Potential customers take note, if you agree a price over the phone make sure you raise it again at the beginning of your appointment and make sure that they are not going to demand extra money at the end for a service that wasn't even discussed.Saturday 10th February 2018
