Well I've just been in to have a free cut of the apprentice Kelly and I'd like to say what a lovely lady she is! As soon as I walked in she offered me a drink, then she started my consultation, from the minute she washed my hair, to the cut and then the blow dry she was very professional. She did a fantastic job and if she needs any further help, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks again.

I had my hair cut for the first time at Samuel Peter in Culcheth on the 4 November. As I live local I thought I would try out the 'new place'. The haircut was what I had asked for but the hairdresser decided to leave my fringe and sides a bit longer than I would normally ask for. She said to try it out and if I wanted to get it shorter then just to pop in and she will trim it shorter for me. I tried it out and decided that it did not really work for me. I therefore went back to the SP to have it trimmed. I returned today to get a quick trim of my fringe and sides around my ears but was faced with at least 3 interrogations in front of a full hair salon salon as to why I was there (which was embarrassing as I had to tell the same story to 3 different people), that I did not have an appointment etc... to which I explained that the hairdresser in question had told me to pop in for a quick trim. After waiting a few minutes someone else popped over telling me that as I had returned 3 weeks after the cut (strictly not true as it was 1 day shy of 3 weeks) would now mean I would have to pay for a wash, cut and dry - this was their policy (of which it was the first I had been told). Not only was it very embarrassing to be told this in front of a full salon but to only be told this now that I wanted to take the hairdresser up on her promissory words. I do not need to get haircuts for free but do expect if someone convinces you to try something out with the promissory of being able to come back to change it as part of the original service then call me old fashioned that you keep to that agreement. As to the 3 week policy it may be worth when telling the customer they can return without incurring costs that they stipulate the timeframe - not that difficult to do so that people who have busy working schedule knows they had better get back before the time runs out to get that promised trim. Here I was excited about trying the 'new place' - well unfortunately they have lost my custom and my recommendation to everyone I know in the surrounding area.
