Never have I ever seen such rude customer service!!! I went to get my glasses frame repaired yesterday evening but the woman that did this (Wendy) accidentally scratched the lens. I didn’t notice this until I got home and wore my glasses. The scratch was bothering my vision because it was reflecting the light. So first thing today, I went into Specsavers with my scratched glasses, but the woman on the counter refused to do anything about it and spoke to me in such a rude and unprofessional manner. Instead she kept putting the blame on me and saying the scratch must have already been there when in reality it wasn’t there until after yesterday’s appointment. I was so shocked because I’ve never experienced this kind of behaviour. Eventually she said that “as a courtesy” the store can give me half price off for the repair of the glasses. Imagine how frustrating this is. I already had to pay to get my glasses frame fixed and during this process one of the staff member accidentally scratched the lens and now they expect me to pay to fix one of their mistakes?! I am so disappointed at Specsavers. I’ve been with Specsavers for the past 5-6 years but I’ve only recently switched to the Openshaw branch, and I’m shocked at how rude the staff is and how little they care for the customers. I didn’t expect this from them at all!!

Absolute first class service. Telephoned yesterday with a concern about my eye. Was phoned back the same day by a lovely optician who was very reassuring and booked me in for an appointment today. Attended today, was seen on time and had a very thorough examination including standard eye test. The optician was amazing! So professional and reassuring, made me feel very looked after. Would recommend this branch (Openshaw) without hesitation. Brilliant!

Had to get my prescription checked for work, I called in and could get an earlier appointment as an essential worker. I had thorough tests done and then my prescription glasses came in a week. The price ranges can vary and you end up paying for quality. Staff is very friendly, and know their expertise.
