St James has a long and proud tradition in the area and has served the people of Gorton for many years. Under the guidance of SS Simon and Jude Vantage Academy Trust we aim to ensure that we become the school of choice in the local area and build upon the schools existing strengths in order to provide a rigorous and relevant education for the children in the locality. We believe that St James CE Primary School is a fantastic place to be educated. Dedicated and talented staff care deeply not only about your child as an individual, but equally as passionate about nurturing every ounce of potential we can, in the academic, sporting, and musical spheres, as well as developing individual talents in a wider range of activities. The achievement of very high standards coupled with outstanding behaviour is a bedrock of our success. Happy, secure children learning quickly and well is what we are known for. We hope that you find our website clear and informative, and if you have any further questions or queries do not hesitate to call us. Michael Connolly, Principal St James CE Primary School is a barrier free school with full wheelchair access. They Key Stage 2 building has a lift to the second floor. If you have any questions about disabled access to the school or any other enquiries please contact Miss Harvey or Mrs Ryder – the school administrators – on 0161 223 2423.
