For the next 5 weeks. we will be learning more about women in the Bible

and praying for women’s discipleship and giving thanks for the ministry of women clergy:

Week 1: Sunday 31 July

Sarah (the Woman of Confidence)

Week 2 - Sunday 7 August

Rachel (The woman of Courage)

Readings: Genesis 29:15-35, Mark 5:21-36

Week 3 – Sunday 14 August

Hannah (The woman of Prayer)

Readings: 1 Samuel 2:1-10, Luke 1:46-50

Week 4 – Sunday 21 August

Ruth (The woman of Devotion)

Readings: Ruth 1:6-17, John 20:24-29

Week 5 – Sunday 28 August

Mary Magdalene (The woman of Faith)

Readings: Hebrews 2:1-13, Matthew 28:1-10

Funerals can still take place . (FOR NUMBER ALLOWED SEE JANET)

Please observe the rules on social distancing, use the hand sanitizer available, wear a mask unless you are exempt and do not enter the church if you feel unwell, have any of the recognised symptoms of Covid-19 or are self-isolating.

Newhey:-   is a small village within Rochdale, situated at the foot of the Pennines,  East of Manchester.

Our beautiful Church recently restored is very light and an ideal setting for Weddings or Baptisms

PLEASE ACT FOR THE HOMELESS, NOW, &

LEAVE ITEMS AT THE BACK OF CHURCH FOR  :-

The BOOTH CENTRE it is in need of food items such as pasta, rice, cook in sauces, tinned meat, tuna, beans, porridge oats, sugar, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cup-a-soups.  They also need underwear; socks, hats, gloves and scarves.  Also they welcome toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, shower gel and deodorant.  Razors and shaving foam for the men, and for women, sanitary products and moisturiser.  If you can, please help and support the Booth Centre in their work with the homeless who are living on the streets this winter.

It's an old church, looks cool and semi gofhic. I didn't go in as I met my family outside for my aunt's funeral.

Lovey quaint little church with some character. Terrible access road and sparse parking, unless they open a near by field up for parking.
