Alan Staton5 StarLovely pub, we stopped here on a bike ride, the man on the bar was lovely and couldn't do enough, he was dashing around serving drinks, taking meal orders and serving them. We had the beef cobbler - very nice, and the Rudolph ale also a tasty ale.Sunday 2nd January 2022

Went tonight for tea @ The boat house Irlam few cheeky drinks!! No kids fish fingers, no kids nuggets, no fries!! Tbh not much left at food at all, same last night too i believe!! As per the lovely Waiter!!! Apparently food stock orders was not placed as forgot!! Not great at 5pm on a Fri eve!!
We still found some OK grub though to be fair, then went outside wen it stopped raining (spitting) WOW!!!!! The outside area is a shambles!! Not just a day worth of a little rain, bird poo every where, leaves, trees & dirt debris everyehere on tables, chairs etc!!! Just so sad after such a great makeover so recent!!! I wonder if its coz the brewery paid for it rather than the pub!! #disrespectful & not appreciated by owners?? Either way, not nice & not appreciated by staff!! Just a clean n tidy up wud b nice for the punters!!

the staff had a bit more about them to want a nicer, cleaner pub inside & out!!

Walter Macdonald5 StarGreat to be back in the blind pig it's been a while since our last visit. Even better when we found Hellina was back, and different bar staff. We always found the staff there very friendly and helpful and the drinks a reasonably priced.The food is well presented and delicious so when you go try it, you'd be silly not to.Sunday 24th April 2022
