Here at The Chanters Care Home, we are proud to offer first class care for the elderly on a permanent or respite basis, delivered by highly trained professionals in lovely comfortable surroundings.

Each of our units, either Dementia care or Residential are able to offer single bedrooms, which can be personalised with pictures or your favourite ornaments and trinkets. Each room has en-suite toilet and sinks, bedside furniture and either a standard or specialised nursing bed.

The home has 24 hour Senior/ Care staff, as well a full complement of Activity, Domestic, Laundry, Kitchen, Maintenance and Administration staff to meet your every need. Friends and family are welcome at any time. Hot drinks and snacks are always available and guests are invited to share a meal with residents. Our cook prepares three nutritious meals a day and the menu changes regularly to reflect seasonal produce. Special diets are catered for.

Our philosophy is simple; we want everyone to enjoy life to the full. We never forget that all our residents are individuals and we treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.

Residents have freedom to choose what to do and when. There is plenty going and our activities coordinator puts together a full programme which is adapted to suit the needs and wishes of our residents. Activities include quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games, art and craft, baking and wherever possible, trips out and about.
