My Aunty Olwen went into the Dell almost 3 years ago, she is suffering with vascular dementia and really thought she would struggle but instead she thrived, The staff at the home provide professional care at a very personal level giving the place an almost "family" type feel. I personally cannot praise the staff and the people involved in the Dell enough for what they do and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine care home

The Dell is a caring home and has a good reputation within the community Care Managers have good relationships and relatives are allowed to visit whenever they wish too they are even invited to have a meal if they wish too .new residents coming to view the home can go anytime no appointment so they can see how the home works throughout the day .CQC inspection report is on view so everybody can access it .Staff are hardworking and caring and have good relationships with the residents.People should go and visit The Dell to see for themselves .

My father has been here, for three years. Since new year this year he has had three accidents, the latest one has been a broken hip, which he is still in hospital with. I have insisted that he does not go back to The Dell. I went down on Saturday to pick up his clothing, which to say the least was a load of tat, inclusive womens clothing, with his name in. If you want an experience to stand in the foyer to visit your loved one, because his room was permanently locked and where staff speak to you so horrid, this is the home for you. Also, I rang this morning to pick up his money so I could buy him some clothes for the new carehome I am looking for, I had a lovely pleasure to speak to a snotty woman on the phone. Please do not put your loved ones in this home. You couldn't find worse. - Lynda Davies

I put my grandfather in this place only for resbite care for 2 weeks .I brought him home not able to talk he wouldn't drink or eat and he had a bruise on his head , a pressure sore to his leg and dried food on his trousers .In less thsn 12 hours of him being home he had died .which broke my heart , he's been dead 4 days now and I'm still in shock .Please do not put any of your loved ones in this place and not even for a hour if I had known this place was going to neglect my grandfather who was not only my grandfather but a humble loving family man.
