The blonde manageress is famously rude to customers, appears to hate them, and is not really suited to a front of house role. Once my friend was buying a Doctor Who item and she called it 'nerdy' (!!). Even if it was in good humour, staff should never pass comment on what people buy. I've lost count of the times she has said strange or unpleasant things to customers...the other staff appear to be afraid of her, and the atmosphere is very different when she is absent.

Nice little charity shop next to ASDA. The shop is clean with lots of different DVDs, Books, Clothes, Frames, Kids Toys, Drawers/Units, Electronics etc with friendly volunteers. Update: The customer service has gone downhill since covid. The woman in the store had a go at me for not following the arrows on the floor, even though there was no one else in the shop.

So today I went to this "Charity Shop" to drop off some of my Daughters barely worn Disney Princess costumes that were all originally purchased from The Disney Store and cost anywhere between £35 to £50 each. I also had some clothes which she's never worn and had the original tags on along with other barely used items. I went to find an assistant and showed her one of her beautiful dresses and her response was "I don't have room for them, you're better off just disposing them”. Her attitude absolutely stank, her tone of voice was so unnecessary and a further customer stood behind her and looked totally perplexed. Who in their right mind tells a customer, who's walked into a charity shop, to dispose of items. Aren't there any children in Stockport who may have wanted them or any nurseries/schools who would have benefited from these? Considering the damaging financial effects that Covid has had on families, children and businesses I'm dumbfounded at this response. If you don't have any room, I'd ask yourselves the question "Why?" If you have so little room and aren't selling items, maybe a crash course in customer service wouldn't go a miss so that you can sell more, raise more for The Extra Care Charitable Trust and you may also learn that talking to customers like absolute rubbish has a detrimental effect on your store and donations. I'll never support this shop again by dropping off quality goods (this should save you some additional room!). My Daughter was with me at the time too. Just disgraceful and not very "charitable".

So disappointed. Arrived and was invited into the shop by the lady on the door. I started browsing only to hear some very discourteous remarks about how there was too many people in the shop. The woman on the door continued saying such remarks in an indirect manner; as such I felt uncomfortable. I left the shop feeling unsafe due to the staff's inability to manage a small number of customers in a covid-secure way. Upon exiting, the door was slammed behind me. I Have never experienced such rude and obnoxious customer handling. Will not be returning.
