I do not recommend. Unfortunately we started the evening with a waitress who didn't know the menu because she claimed the menu was new for her, she couldn't be bothered asking her manager either. The Calamari was soggy and full of dripping oil. The King Prawn was oily and smelling of old fish. The Whitby Dressed Crab was extremely frozen, no way fresh, and mixed with a pate and flavour crab sticks. The samphire grass and cherry tomatoes was horrible and tasteless, some ingredients were hot and some of them were cold. My friend had a bloody/pink pork steak. I am very very disappointed in this restaurant as it cost just under £200 for 4 people.

Piscine perfection! I think this has to be the best seafood in the Greater Manchester region. It takes a lot of chutzpah to omit that staple of seafood restaurants I.e. cold seafood platter as a main, but they have what it takes (I make an exception for the oysters). Gail and her colleague managed an almost full house when we arrived. So until the restaurant staffing shortage passes, you may wish to have a look at the menu in advance and order as soon as you arrive, because the smells from the kitchen will make you ravenous. The owners have done well to snag a talented pair of chefs. The veloute and bisque were luscious pairing well with fish that was never over cooked or overdone. You can tell that some thought had gone into the creation of the recipes, with the emphasis being on flavours rather than fussiness. I had immediate food envy on sampling my wife’s mackerel starter. Places like The Fisherman’s Table are a shining example of why we eat out.

Wonderful meal at the fisherman's table for my mum's 60th last night. The staff were so lovely and accommodating to our table of 10. We pre ordered the mains and everything was exactly as we wanted. The £5 corkage on a Monday is an excellent idea too. Food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere wonderful. Thoroughly recommend!

Our first time and will not be the last. The photos do not do the food justice. The chef is very talented. The local fishmonger owns this restaurant so you know how fresh the fish is. Gorgeous.
