Carol Jaensch5 StarWe have eaten here a few times before and have always been impressed. However yesterday I was a little disappointed. We had booked and were seated immediately, but we then waited quite a while for service, I would estimate over ten minutes. We were not given a menu or asked about drinks. Eventually I stood up to get our menus and a waitress then gave us our menus.
A different waitress then came to take drinks order, by which time we had chosen food.
The food was good, my husband and I shared a caeser salad as starter, both had gammon, my father had a burger. An option of pineapple instead of egg on the gammon would have been nice.
Further service problem came as we waited again after finishing. We were not asked if we wanted desserts, which luckily we didn't but we did want another drink. This took a while to order and also to come.
So food good, service not so. We will come again though and hope things improve again.Sunday 15th May 2022
MrHeppi775 StarJust had 3 fantastic meals....homemade beef pie, 3 meat trio roast and the 8 oz steak....all 3 were very good and the service was faultless. If we lived in this area it could well be our preferred eating establishment! Highly recommended.Sunday 28th August 2022
Matt Stewart5 StarHave driven past The Midway many times but when I went in I was pleasantly surprised. The prices are very reasonable, staff polite and helpful and it has a very cosy feeling. Used the beer garden and the seats are well spaced and the area very clean. Lovely place, will be going back to try their food next time 👌👌Thursday 18th August 2022
