Welcome to Valley School

We are very pleased to welcome you to our school website. Valley School is a primary special school for pupils aged between 2 and 11 years, who have a range of complex and severe learning difficulties. Valley School offers pupils an outstanding educational provision and a caring, safe and secure environment in which to reach their potential. The children are at the centre of all we do.

We believe that every child should be recognised and respected as unique and special. Our school motto, ‘Small steps, giant strides’ captures our belief that with the right help and support, children are capable of great progress, and we see evidence of this each day in our school.

We are extremely proud of our small school, the achievements of our pupils, the expertise and dedication of our staff and multi-disciplinary colleagues and our outstanding facilities. Valley School has a real sense of community and is a great place to work. Based on what our pupils tell and show us in their own individual ways (and on what their families tell us too) we believe it is also a wonderful place to be a pupil. We can only fully achieve this, by working in partnership with parents, carers and families.

Thank you for visiting our website and we hope that it offers you an insight into the inspiring and nurturing learning environment that is our school. Please contact us for more information including organising a tour.
