We believe play should be made a fun and exciting way that will encourage children to be effective learners, aiming to inspire a thirst for learning with eagerness and enthusiasm.
Outdoor play is one of our strong features of our daily routine, spending much of our time outdoors. We are very proud and take pride in our nursery by reflecting on our practice in order to continually make improvements.
We believe that children should be treated as individuals and be safe, loved, happy and stimulated whilst at nursery. We provide every child with opportunities for learning and development, and they are supported in this by their key person and the rest of the nursery team. We also believe children should be given plenty of choices and freedom of speech which we highly promote on a daily basis.

Sweepsurf5 StarOur daughter has attended Victoria Road Day Nursery since she was a baby. She is now in the preschool room and we have another baby who will be starting Victoria Road next month. I highly recommend this nursery to others that are looking. The staff are friendly, caring and supportive towards the children and also their families. There is a diverse community at Victoria Road and we feel that it is a very inclusive environment. My daughter loves going each day and the communication throughout the week to show the broad range of activities to develop the children's learning is fantastic. I feel that the nursery is a safe place for my children to attend and the staff do an outstanding job protecting children and their families during this pandemic. I really feel my child is thriving at Victoria Road and we are looking forward to our youngest starting there soon. Well done to all the staff for their recent outstanding Ofsted report. Maintaining an outstanding grading like this is only achieved through the everyday hard work of the nursery team.Thursday 3rd February 2022
Shanice Drummond5 StarMy son has been attending here since October last year, and I honestly can say I feel most comfortable leaving him each morning :) My son comes home happy and content. I love the daily updates/photos of what the children are getting up to sent via the app; which also provides reassurance. My son has developed very well since being here. Each member of staff is always very polite and friendly, and informative with their food, naps, toilet. I have never felt anxious, or upset leaving my son, even after a little wobble after Christmas in the mornings when dropping him, the staff sent me messages via the app throughout the day with updates on how he was doing which really put my mind to ease. Alex Wilkes5 StarMy child currently attends Victoria road day nursery and has done since she was 9 months old. Since starting at Victoria road she has thrived and hit all of her development milestones.
She has recently moved to a different room and I cannot fault the staff members.
The staff members at Victoria road are always there to support my little girl. They look after her well and she is always excited to go into nursery, I believe this is due to the way the staff take care of the children’s needs.
I am kept updated daily on what she has been up to throughout the day, and any questions I have, the girls will gladly help.
Wonderful, enthusiastic staff members. And lovely management at Victoria road, I would highly recommend this nursery!!Wednesday 2nd February 2022
Kerry Brennan5 StarMy little boy started Victoria Road nursery at the age of 2 in the toddler room, he is now 3 and moved up to the pre school room. Since my son started he has become more outgoing, very sociable and made lots of friends inside and out. The staff at Victoria Road nursery are amazing and so supportive, if I have any questions or concerns the staff are very helpful, my son really enjoys nursery and all the staff. I am kept up to date via the app on what my boy has done and all he's learnt, I cannot fault the staff and all their hard work they put in with every child.
