Stayed here last night for new years eve. The room was clean and bed was nice and comfy. Evening entertainment was brilliant. The only let down was the breakfast. It was just awful. It was a buffet style. Beans were cold, only scrambled eggs on offer and the bacon was barley cooked. It just wasn't edible. We ended up getting breakfast elsewhere. I would stay again I just wouldn't bother with the food

Second time at The Village, Ashton, for a weekend including Party Night, Dance through the Decades. We booked a basic but comfy room, great shower/bathroom, coffee and tea facilities and plenty of space. Just a couple of little niggles. Two bulbs, one each on either side of the room, flickering as if they needed changing. Although not a major concern, it was a little annoying while we were trying to get ready. Party Night was as usual, well organised. Although, the food could do with being served earlier, as it was nearly 9pm by the time we ate. As a result, the main meal was a bit dry and bland. Again, not a major complaint as the quality of the 2 course meal and disco was reflected in the £12.50 per person ticket price. We have been to quite a few Village Hotels and this one is in a fantastic location, conveniently situated for trams to Manchester. It is surrounded by many well known places to eat, you can't go wrong. The staff are friendly and helpful too. We will no doubt come again

Great gym. Great staff. Since the refurbishment or energy bills going up or a combination of both, the pool and jacuzzi are a bit on the cold side. My other gripe is the lack of gym etiquette from a small number of member’s have by not putting equipment back after they’ve used it. A lot of the time you find yourself clearing up after others to have a workout space and roaming around the gym looking for equipment. But like I said, it is a good gym.

Hotel was good for the price over Christmas period. Bed was comfy and went straight to sleep. Breakfast was nice in the morning, got a room with breakfast included, but not worth £12.50 if not booked. Would definitely return.
