Visioncare at Home COVID-19 Staff Testing Programme

Visioncare at Home has commenced a COVID-19 testing programme for clinical staff. This has been introduced in order to mitigate risk and protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, our customers and all those who live and work in the care homes that we visit. In line with government guidance, all clinical staff conduct tests using Lateral Flow Devices twice weekly. Testing is strictly monitored at branch level and, to provide extra reassurance, a screenshot of the most recent test result can be made available on request. More information regarding the testing process is freely available in our Standard Operating Procedure, which can be found as an attachment to your booking confirmation email or is available on request.

Visioncare at Home COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

In addition to testing, Visioncare at Home clinical staff are being vaccinated in their local areas in accordance with the JCVI recommendations for frontline healthcare workers.

Visioncare at Home Service Update

In line with guidance from government, NHS and optical bodies, Visioncare at Home continues to provide a comprehensive domiciliary eye care service at this time. Where face to face eye examinations are not necessary, our remote consultation and clinical advice service is available. Furthermore, we continue to provide a repair and replacement service to all of our customers.
