Wilsons pie shop has the best pies full stop. My grandparents lived in Kearsley and my dad grew up there but moved us to Yorkshire when I was little. Every time I stayed over or visited my grandparents we would always visit the pie shop. I try and make pitstops whenever I'm on my way up the M62. I usually buy batches frozen pies for the freezer. I've treated all my friends to the pies and they concur, they are simply the best. I don't eat and have never eaten another pie! I just don't see the point! I'm pretty sure the red haired chef (you can see them preparing the pies) thinks I'm mental because I buy so many frozen pies sporadically to get me through the gaps in my visits. Never close Wilsons pie shop! Never close! You've fed 4 generations of my family and my son hasn't tried one yet to make it 5 generations!

Fabulous pies. Great variety of fillings but my favourites are peppered steak and meat and potato. The also make bread, pasties, barm cakes and sandwiches as well as cakes and drinks. They also have frozen fare to take back home. Recommend.
