Nice old building and a good selection of beers. Food however is overpriced and of poor quality. When it did finally arrive the mixed grill consisted of those cheap sausages you get at a burger van, rubbery chicken and overcooked onion rings. Steak was tough and over cooked. They asked how I wanted my steak at till, I said rare. The only thing fresh on the roast was the broccoli. The macaroni cheese tasted bland (maybe from a tin?) served with a dry unambitious side salad. Had to ask the waitress 2 times for our sauces. Rosemary salted chips came without the rosemary salt. The toilet was grubby and mouldy with a cracked toilet. Don’t bother eating here if you have the choice. They obviously don’t have any trained kitchen staff.

What a nice pleasant Pub. Met a friend here for dinner, and was greeted nicely with friendly staff. Phone network was not good there (not their fault) which meant we ordered at the bar instead of the App - Which is quicker, easier and friendlier anyhow. Food was good, great value for money, another reviewer stated overpriced, this was £12 for a plateful of well cooked and tasty chicken. Some people expect 5 star hotel food and pub prices. All in all, a typical Pub, yes there may be some beer stains on the carpet or a lick of paint is needed somewhere, you just need to remember it is a pub, not a restaurant. And therefore has a much better atmosphere.

Was here on Friday evening, nice pub, most of the bar staff were polite, except from one lady who was a bit rude and unwelcoming. I asked her what red wines were on offer and she looked at me like a piece of dirt and pointed to the red wines whilst muttering a word that I couldn't make out, it sounded like a grunt. I don't know whether she was annoyed at me because my presence at the bar distracted her from being glued to her mobile phone or whether she was just having a bad day.

Beer, including selection of tales, good, but very loud live music played through the pub's own system. Actually quite a good performance, but we had to sit outside at the front to converse at all. Left after one drink. Update August 22 Went for lunch. Good menu, real ale in good condition, food good. Muzak quieter. One one [very busy] staff member resulted in slow service. Seniors menu great value, CAMRA card gets 10% off real ales. Two very noisy young children were allowed (by their parents) to run riot around the pub.
